Public information
You can browse the public website without creating an account. Following a map, video, national church or other external link takes you to that provider’s website, where its privacy terms apply.
Secretary accounts
Secretary access uses an email address, password and authenticator verification. There is no public account registration: the Website administrator creates approved local accounts. Approved email addresses, church assignments and roles are stored so the Website administrator can manage access. Every first-time user must replace their temporary password and set up an authenticator app. Later password resets keep the registered authenticator; the user chooses a new password and verifies with the existing app. Passwords are stored as salted hashes, authenticator keys are encrypted, and recovery codes are stored as hashes.
Announcements and images
Church details and published posts are visible to website visitors. Media contributor submissions and their newly uploaded files remain private until a media admin or Secretary admin approves publication. Secretaries should publish only information and images they are authorised to share. Use particular care with photographs of children and obtain appropriate permission before publication.
Storage and providers
The website is hosted through OpenAI Sites. Church records are stored in Cloudflare D1 and uploaded images in Cloudflare R2. Authentication uses an essential secure portal cookie which expires after one hour. This website does not add advertising cookies or analytics tracking. Fonts are requested from Google Fonts and illustrative worship images from Unsplash, so those services receive normal browser requests.
Corrections and removal
Contact your local church through its published contact details to ask about information or images relating to you. Secretaries can edit or remove posts, and the Website administrator can revoke secretary access. Removing a post hides it from the website; an uploaded image may remain in storage until the Website administrator arranges its removal.
Accessibility
The website supports keyboard navigation, visible focus indicators, responsive layouts and reduced motion preferences. If you experience a barrier, please contact your local church so the district team can help.
